Anouk van Praagh

The chairman of the board is ultimately responsible for the functioning of the MAA and is, therefore, the face of the association to the outside world. The chairman focuses on managing and developing the MAA policy and is responsible for the improvement of the relationship with the universities. Additionally, he or she represents the association within the MAN (Marketing Association of the Netherlands). Do you want to know more about the function of chairman? For me personally, the past half year has brought me insight in running an organization and facing new challenges with my co-board members. I have learned a lot about managing teams, account management, think strategic and of course, met a lot of great new people and companies. The ambitious character of the MAA, combined with the social element, greatly appealed to me.

Vice – Chairman

Carlijn van de Luijtgaarden

The Vice-Chairman is responsible for the recruitment of committees, financial reports and, additionally, for the internal affairs which means everything concerning the members and alumni. The Vice-Chairman sends official correspondence, and during board meetings acts as a notary. Besides all of this, the Vice-Chairman is the right-hand of the Chairman. Since the Vice-Chairman doubles as Treasurer, he or she monitors various budgets from the committees and continuously stays informed of the benefits and expenses of the association. The tasks of the Vice-Chairman are divided in a wide range of responsibilities. They vary from administrative tasks such as the budget to coordinating two different committees being the Career Beyond Borders committee and the Amsterdam Consultancy Group.

Jolijn de Ridder

As guardian of the corporate identity of the MAA you are responsible for a convincing appearance and branding of the entire association. You can let your imagination run wild and learn how to work with different programs to optimize textual and visual expressions in the offline and online marketing. Be responsible for the strategy to grow the association in the number of members and ensure that all events are in top of mind among the relevant students.

I personally learned to bring my theoretical knowledge into practice and expanded my leading skills.  Are you looking for a dynamic position, where you will face daily new challenges and have to manage many different tasks? Annelinde Holland

There are two board members responsible for establishing and maintaining contact with the business partners of the MAA and are therefore the link between the companies and the MAA members. Sales always searches for new inspiring companies that could be interesting when it comes to creating career opportunities for our members. They also aim for excellent account management in order to create long lasting partnerships for the MAA and ensure the continuity of these partnerships.
