The Amsterdam Consultancy Group (ACG) is a student-run consulting group operating under the Marketing Association Amsterdam. Since 2016, we have partnered with multinational corporations, scale-ups, academic health organizations, and NGOs. Our team of top students from the University of Amsterdam (UvA), and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), combine academic rigor with fresh, analytical, and outcome-driven perspectives to real business challenges.
ACG independently selects projects, allowing members to engage with leading organizations. Past collaborations include Nestlé, Royal Flora Holland, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Joe & the Juice. This hands-on experience enriches academic learning while expanding professional networks. For larger projects, ACG opens opportunities to MAA members.
This year ACG aims to host a flagship case competition where teams can analyse and solve a real strategic challenge faced by an organisation. This enables students to work on consulting projects under pressure and demonstrate strategic problem solving.

Chair
The Chair oversees the smooth operation of all committee activities, supporting members in their roles and ensuring high-quality deliverables. They lead meetings, serve as the primary liaison between the committee and the board, and foster engagement, motivation, and collaboration across the team. By guiding the committee’s efforts and maintaining team cohesion, the Chair plays a pivotal role in achieving objectives and sustaining a strong, productive team culture.
Vice-Chair
The Vice Chair oversees financial management, including tracking payments from companies and maintaining the committee budget, while also handling registration and communications with student consultants. They coordinate committee members involved in projects, ensuring roles are clear and everyone stays informed. Proactive and supportive, the Vice Chair also assists in drafting contracts and contributes strategically to the committee’s initiatives, helping drive smooth operations and successful project outcomes.
Marketing
The Marketeer is responsible for developing and managing the committee’s promotional content across social media and other channels, highlighting achievements, attracting partner organizations, and engaging stakeholders. This role includes shaping the overall marketing strategy to support the committee’s objectives and enhance its visibility.
4X ACQUISITION
The Acquisition team is responsible for securing consulting assignments by actively engaging with companies and managing all related communications. This includes generating leads, reaching out to potential clients, and presenting ACG’s services to secure projects that enable the committee to deliver value. The role requires a proactive approach, strategic use of resources, and strong relationship-building skills to establish and maintain lasting partnerships with organizations.
