International aspirations? This is the perfect committee for those who desire a future career beyond borders. This committee organizes a trip in April to a foreign European city, where 25 MAA members get the unique opportunity to get in touch with international companies. Of course, some attention is paid to free time to explore the culture of the city and to visit the touristic highlights. Previous editions went to Hamburg, Brussels, Dublin, Berlin and Lisbon. What’s the next destination?

The Careers Beyond Borders is one of the biggest committees of the MAA and consists of:

Chairman

This big event is coordinated by the Chairman. He makes sure all committee members do their jobs. He is the one leading all the meetings and also the contact person with the board.
“Manage the strategy in a team full of creative people.”

Vice-chairman
As the event will take place abroad a lot of money goes into this event. The Vice-chairman makes sure all goes according to the budget and makes sure no unnecessary expenses are made. The Treasurer also is the contact person for the participants and will communicate all the information about the event to them.
“Own the budget and supervise the registrations.”
Marketeer
As we are very happy to organize such a big event we also need students to participate. The Marketeer will make sure students from the UvA and VU know about the event and will attend. He will do this by being active online as well as offline and will also be working together with the Media & Branding committee.
“Devise and develop a marketing strategy.”
3x Sales
An event abroad is nice, but we need to add value for our members by visiting interesting companies in the country of choice. The Sales people will make sure this won’t be an issue by calling international companies and expanding their network.
“Step out of your comfort zone and create a professional network.”
