Start date: We prefer students able to start no later than Q3 2020.

Duration: 6 months. Students able to extend to 9 months are preferred.

This Internship Assignment is not subject to combine with your graduation or thesis. We require a 40 hours per week presence to work on this internship assignment.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Work at the forefront of agile consumer learning as part of the Marketing Insights & Analytics Team of Philips. You will work on the execution of digital & social experiments that contribute to the validation and optimization of minimal viable propositions in our Ventures & Solutions.

You are responsible for

  • Supporting the Digital & Social Experimentation Leads in their day-to-day activities
  • Executing experiments set-out by the Experimenters (AB testing, optimizations, manage campaigns)
  • Create briefings for designers and developers (to support the creation of digital experiments).
  • Support on creating (digital) advertising for social media, search and other digital channels.
  • Analyze and report on advertising, audiences and behavior.
  • In addition, you will support the Insight Accelerators on consumer insight projects in Ventures & Solutions.

You are a part of

The Global Marketing Insights & Analytics team within Philips Personal Health based in the Head Quarters in Amsterdam. You will support the Insight Accelerator Team. Your focus will cover the whole of Personal Health (divided into different Business Units).

You will be working at our head office in Amsterdam.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your University Bachelor or Master in Marketing, Communication and/or Economics.
  • Strong command on MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint),
  • Great analytical skills and Interested in market research, data analysis, competitive analysis, and consumer research
  • Digital savvy, good understanding of social media.
  • Experienced or interested in AB testing, growth hacking and online advertising.
  • Some experience in desk research (preferred)
  • Fluent English communication both verbal and in writing
  • Excellent networking / social skills and Team player

Job Description

We are open to discuss your thesis subject as long as it will be in line with the internship responsibilities as described. We are flexible in your availability up to 32-40 hours per week.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Gain a perfect insight into the world of global marketing and product development while being the team main point of contact for data driven projects. You will be familiar with a variety of marketing tools and processes while your own way of thinking and working style is also strongly encouraged. You are responsible for

  • Supporting for selected projects in Product Development including analysis on consumer and market data, and coordinating selected areas of the project
  • Manage team weekly dashboard by maintaining and update weekly business result
  • Competitor Analysis to support key innovation projects for Male Grooming products (Hair clippers, nose trimmers, Body groomers and OneBlade)
  • Market research for business intelligence information and data, do data analysis for our targeted segment/business category
  • Analyzing portfolio performance and suggest counteractions together with the marketing and business development team
  • Managing data and data models to incorporate into business planning projects
  • Supporting in the creation and follow up of value added promotions
  • Managing online effectiveness and content; Improving creation of and setup for online content, analyzing how and where we can improve

You are a part of

A dedicated Marketing Team in the category of Male Grooming within Philips Health Tech, which consists of electronic male grooming appliances. Philips is a global leader in this category. The upstream marketing team (Consumer Marketing Managers) is responsible for full proposition development, starting with consumer insight generation, all the way to product development, market launch and life cycle management.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your University in Applied Sciences or University in Sciences Bachelor or Master in next studies: Business Administration, Business Economics, Business Management, Business Analytics or Marketing
  • Strong analytical skills; Proactive and solution oriented.
  • Advanced Excel/MS Office skills;
  • An analyst with a structured mindset, who is comfortable with numbers and has an eye for accurate details
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and convey the messages in a convincing manner with people of different seniority and backgrounds.
  • Able to work in a complex international matrix organization. Hands-on mentality, good in managing projects.

Jacobs Douwe Egberts Retail is de verkooporganisatie voor de merken Douwe Egberts, Pickwick, SENSEO® en L’OR espresso, gericht op het supermarktkanaal. Binnen deze unit zijn zo’n 70 professionals werkzaam.

We bieden een veelzijdige stage in de (online) wereld van Koffie & Thee, waarbij je in korte tijd veel kunt leren op het gebied van content marketing – 360-graden campagnes, content marketing, SEO, brand websites, GIPHY en nog veel meer! Je bent o.a. verantwoordelijk voor het creëren van content voor de websites van Pickwick, Senseo en Douwe Egberts. Je komt te werken in een jong team met een open en informele sfeer, waardoor er ruimte is voor eigen initiatieven en projecten.

We zijn per juli/augustus (exacte startdatum in overleg) op zoek naar een stagiair voor een periode van 6 maanden. Het gaat om een meewerkstage.

Wat je gaat doen

  • Ondersteuning bij de inzet van online kanalen (o.a. SEO, e-mailmarketing, online video);
  • Creëren van eigen, creatieve content voor op onze websites door middel van zelfstandig deskresearch en interviews;
  • Beheren van het Content Management Systeem;
  • Meelopen met projecten op het gebied van online marketing van het digital marketing team.

Work within a fast-developing and dynamic PR team at Philips. Within the PR team, you will be assisting on PR plans and strategies, including product PR and creation of PR assets, product launches, branded content collaborations, analysis and measurement for the Personal Health portfolio in the Benelux. Next to this, you have the opportunity to assist with the content plan for the Philips BNL Instagram account.

You will receive training and coaching on the different aspects of PR, branded content collaborations and content creation. This internship offers you the chance to not only gain professional experience within the PR and communications field, but will also put your talents to use!

You are responsible for

  • Creation of PR assets such as press releases, digital mailers and press kits
  • Executing the PR plan and strategy and pro-actively assisting on project management of media partnerships

You will be part of the PR and branded content team within Personal Health Benelux at Philips. The team is working in Eindhoven HTC 52, but there is also the opportunity to work in the Amsterdam office. The primary focus of the PR team is to drive an always-on content strategy, to support the PH businesses, customer driven, while playing a key role in an integrated marketing team. You will be contributing to the team leading all media contacts and PR activities within the Benelux and working on key PR projects. In addition, you will also work closely with the marketing managers, social team, digital team and our PR agency.

De business unit Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE) Retail is de verkooporganisatie gericht op de merken Douwe Egberts, Kanis & Gunnink, Van Nelle, SENSEO®, L’OR , Tassimo en Pickwick binnen het supermarktkanaal. Binnen deze unit zijn circa 70 professionals werkzaam, waaronder het marketingteam Single Serve. Dit team is verantwoordelijk voor de Single Serve merken SENSEO® en L’OR en is op zoek naar een stagiair(e) voor de merken SENSEO® en L’OR voor een periode van 6 maanden, per 1 juli 2020.

Ondersteuning van het Single Serve marketingteam en haar werkzaamheden, waaronder:

  • Ondersteuning bij de executie van merkactivatie;
  • Meelopen met projecten op het gebied van productontwikkeling;
  • Ondersteuning van verpakkingstrajecten;
  • Ondersteuning van brand managers in de daily business;
  • Ondersteuning bij diverse online activiteiten: waaronder opstellen van eDM’s en up-to-date houden van de website;
